Every event has its own page, opened from Details & sign up on its card or from the calendar. Its address stays the same, so you can bookmark or share it.
About the event
The top of the page has the event’s name, its office and type, when and where it happens, and who to email with questions.
The line with the icon says whether you can sign up:
| It says | What it means |
|---|---|
| Opportunity is open | The event is taking sign-ups. |
| Opportunity is closed | Sign-up is closed, either for now or because the event has ended. |
| You are part of this opportunity | You’re signed in and already registered for the event. |
Shifts and roles
The box beside the description shows the Next Available Shift: its date and time, then each role with its place and how many volunteers it still needs. Some roles describe the work; a long description ends in More.
Choose More to read the whole description, and Less to fold it again.
If the next shift is already full, it shows as Upcoming Shift with the next one that has room below it.
Signed in, you also see who has signed up for each role, if the event is at your location. Click to see more shifts opens the later shifts. Once you’re part of the event, it becomes See all shifts, a full list you can sign up from; see All shifts.
Signing up
Signed out, or not yet part of the event, the event’s sign-up button opens its page in Bloomerang in a new tab, where you register.
Once you’re part of the event, you can sign up for shifts right on this page. See Signing up for shifts.
When you can’t sign up
Closed: the button is greyed out. Point at it to see why, usually “Public Registration is CLOSED”. If the organizers left a note, such as when sign-up opens, it shows under the button.
Full: every upcoming shift has all the volunteers it needs, or there are no more shifts. Get update about this Event opens the event in Bloomerang.
Events without shifts
Some events, such as a disaster relief distribution, have no shifts. Their page has just the sign-up button, which opens Bloomerang.
Signed in, for an event at your location, the page lists Registered Volunteers, with you marked “(you)”.
Sharing an event
Each event’s page has its own address, so you can share it in a group chat, a text or an email. The link shows a preview with the event’s name, its description and its cover picture.
Most event addresses end in a code, such as /seattle/jthsgns8n3hx8i. Some events also have a short address that’s easier to read and type, such as /seattle/whitecenter. Both open the same page.

Questions about the event
Each event lists who to email, under its details at the top of the page.
Screenshots and clips show sample data, not real volunteers.
