Getting help

Who to ask when something isn't right, from a question about one event to a new permission level.

Who can use this
  • Everyone
On this page
  1. Something about one event
  2. Changing your answers or hours
  3. Can’t sign in, or your hours are missing
  4. A new permission level
  5. A page for your location, or a short event address
  6. Feedback or a problem with the portal

Start with the guide for what you’re doing. If that doesn’t answer it, here’s who can help.

Something about one event

For anything about a single event, such as a private role, cancelling a shift, or a role that isn’t open, ask the event’s contact. Their email is at the top of the event’s page, under Questions about this event? See Event pages.

Changing your answers or hours

You can change your own registration answers in Bloomerang: choose Open in Bloomerang on the event’s page.

For anything else, such as a missed check-out or hours recorded wrong, ask the event’s coordinator, the person who runs the event in Bloomerang. The event’s contact can put you in touch.

Can’t sign in, or your hours are missing

Start with Signing in: most problems come from signing in with a different email than the one Bloomerang has.

If that doesn’t fix it:

  • Volunteers: ask your local coordinator, or the contact of an event you’re signed up for.
  • Coordinators and admins: contact the HQ IT Team, through your regional office’s admin channel, or directly if your office already works with us.

A new permission level

To get a permission level, or the same level for another location, contact your regional office. After it’s changed, sign out and sign back in to see it.

A page for your location, or a short event address

Some locations have their own page, such as /seattle, and some events have a short address, such as /seattle/whitecenter. Local Admin can ask for one for your location or event: contact the HQ IT Team, through your regional office’s admin channel, or directly if your office already works with us.

Feedback or a problem with the portal

If something in the portal doesn’t work, is confusing, or could be easier, tell the HQ IT Team, through your regional office’s admin channel, or directly if your office already works with us. Say what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened. A screenshot helps.

Screenshots and clips show sample data, not real volunteers.
