The Responses tab lists everyone who registered for an event, one per row, with their answers to the registration form. The pictures show a two-day disaster relief distribution.

Getting to the Responses tab

With the Admin level for the event’s location, the event page shows three tabs: About, Responses and Hours. Choose Responses. (Events that only take registrations have no Hours tab.) The ? next to the title opens this guide.

The event's tabs with Responses highlighted, and the ? beside Registration responses highlighted.

What’s in the table

Each row starts with the volunteer’s name, the location and group they belong to (Volunteer Location and Group), and their Waiver status. Next come the answers to this event’s own questions.

Your organization also asks some questions on every event’s form. Only Alt Name shows at first; turn the others on under Columns. For an event with shifts, each row also shows which shift, role, place and time the volunteer signed up for.

Registration responses with names and Alt Name frozen on the left, then Waiver, From+Stay, Availability and Transportation.
  • — means they didn’t answer.
  • ✓ means they ticked a box to agree.
  • 📎 Uploaded means they uploaded a file.
  • When they picked several options, each is on its own line.
  • Answers longer than three lines are cut off, ending in …. Click one to show all of it; click anywhere else to fold it again.

First Name, Last Name and Alt Name are frozen, so they stay in view when you scroll sideways. On a phone, each volunteer is shown as a card, without the questions they left blank.

Finding someone

Search looks through names, shifts, roles and every answer.

For an event with shifts, Dates shows upcoming shifts at first. Change it to Past dates, All dates or Custom range to see others.

To sort by a column, choose its name. Choose it again to reverse the order.

Waivers

Volunteers sign two releases: a volunteer release and a media release. The Waiver column shows both at once. Sort by it to bring anyone missing a release to the top.

It showsMeaning
CompleteBoth releases are signed.
PartialOne release is missing; the chip beside it says which.
✗ Volunteer ✗ MediaThat release is missing.
📄 Volunteer 📄 MediaThat release was signed on paper, and an admin added the scan in Bloomerang. It counts as signed.
Not signedNothing is on file.
MinorThe volunteer said they’re under 18. It can appear next to any of the above.
The table sorted on Waiver: one volunteer missing the media release, two with nothing on file, one with a tick and both releases on paper, then one with a tick and Minor.

Follow-up answers

Some questions ask a follow-up, depending on the answer. For example, choosing Need a ride asks for a pick-up zip code. The follow-up answer shows under the main answer, in the same column.

Transportation: Can offer a ride, with Ride Location 98007 and Num Passenger 3 below it, highlighted.

Arranging columns

Columns opens the column settings. Its count, such as 11/18, is how many columns are showing out of all of them.

The Response columns panel, with numbered marks on the fold switch, a column's drag handle, its checkbox and its Freeze button.
  1. Fold sub-questions into one column: turn this off to give each follow-up question its own column.
  2. Drag the handle to move a column earlier or later.
  3. Tick or untick the box to show or hide a column.
  4. Freeze pins a column to the left, so it stays in view when you scroll sideways.

Next to each question, Org means your organization asks it on every event, and Event means only this event asks it. hidden means volunteers don’t see the question on the form.

Choose Save Preferences to keep your changes, or Reset to Defaults to undo them all. Your columns are saved in this browser for this event. The fold setting applies to every event.

With folding off, Hotel / Stay and Leave early from Sea are columns of their own beside From+Stay.

You can also move a column by dragging the handle in its heading.

Dragging Transportation in front of From+Stay.
