Every volunteer who signs in has the Volunteer level. Staff are given more levels on top. Each level applies to one location, such as Seattle Branch, or to every location in a region, and sometimes only to one group there, such as Tzu Ching.

The levels

LevelWhat you can do
VolunteerSee your own hours in My Hours, and sign up for shifts. On events at your location, see who else signed up, shown as first name and last initial.
Roster ViewerSee the full names of everyone signed up for events at your location.
QR Check-inCheck volunteers in and out at an event, from the QR Code Check-in tab. Also see full names.
QR AdminEverything QR Check-in can do, plus QR Mapping: linking each volunteer’s QR code to their email, and printing their cards.
AdminEverything above, plus Manage Volunteers, and the Responses and Hours tabs on events at your location.

The Responses and Hours tabs only appear on events at the location your Admin level is for.

What the header shows

Each level adds tabs to the header. Volunteer and Roster Viewer see the same tabs, and QR Admin sees the same tabs as QR Check-in.

Admin

Checking your levels

Open the profile menu by choosing your initial at the top right. On a phone, it’s inside the menu. Each level you have is listed as a label made of the region, the location, sometimes a group, and the level’s internal name. For example, NW-SeattleBranch-FullAdmin means Admin for Seattle Branch in the Northwest region.

The profile menu for Lena Chou, with the label NW-SeattleBranch-FullAdmin highlighted.

Getting a new level

Contact your regional office; see Getting help. If you open a page your levels don’t cover, the portal tells you the same.

Screenshots and clips show sample data, not real volunteers.
